John Russ

John Russ is a seasoned structural engineer with extensive experience in various sectors, including semiconductor and petroleum, having worked since November 2021 at Strategic Management Solutions, LLC (SMSI) and previously at Design Group from October 2015 to November 2021. Prior to these roles, John was the Principal Engineer - Structural at Energy Northwest and held structural engineering positions at several firms, including Breshears/Thornton Engineering Consultants, ZCS Engineering, and others. John's educational background includes a Master's Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from Purdue University. John has consistently applied current codes and standards such as ASCE 7 and the IBC in design projects throughout the career.
