Johnson Kosgei

Johnson Kosgei has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Johnson is currently serving as the Head of Technology, Data & Product at Snowcrash since August 2022. Prior to this, from August 2021 to December 2022, they worked at XY.AI as the VP of Data, Engineering, and Product.

From July 2019 to August 2021, Johnson was the Director of Data Engineering & Analytics and a Principal Data Scientist at SAG-AFTRA Health Plan | SAG-Producers Pension Plan. Johnson also had experience as an Adjunct Faculty at the University of Redlands from May 2018 to November 2020.

Before that, they worked at Red Bull, where they held multiple roles including Data Science Manager, Project Manager, Information Systems Specialist, and Geographic Information Systems Consultant from October 2009 to March 2017.

Johnson's earlier experience includes working as a Geographic Information Systems Consultant at the World Agroforestry Centre from April 2006 to August 2006, where they contributed to the resettlement efforts of South Sudan residents through the implementation of a spatial database and conducting analytics.

Johnson Kosgei pursued their education in a systematic and focused manner. Johnson completed their Master's of Science in Geographic Information Systems from the University of Redlands in 2009, with a specialization in GIS and Remote Sensing. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Geospatial Engineering & Space Technology from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. Their undergraduate studies spanned from 2001 to 2006, wherein they pursued engineering courses. Johnson Kosgei also holds a certification as a Certified SAFe® 5 Product Owner/Product Manager, which they obtained in May 2021 from Scaled Agile, Inc.
