Matt Gibbs

Matt Gibbs has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Matt most recently served as the VP of Engineering at Snyk since October 2021. Prior to that, they held the same position at GitHub from November 2019 to October 2021. Matt also had a long tenure at Microsoft starting from 1997. Their roles at Microsoft included Principal Group Engineering Manager, Principal Software Engineering Manager, Principal Software Architect, Director of Development (Asia R&D), Principal Group Manager (.NET Framework), Principal Development Manager, Lead Software Design Engineer, Software Design Engineer, and Software Design Engineer in Test. Throughout their career, Matt led various teams and projects, contributed to the development of multiple software platforms and tools, achieved cost savings, and mentored managers to drive organizational change and process improvements.

Matt Gibbs has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Utah, which they obtained from 1992 to 1997. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Master of Science in Computer Science at the University of Washington from 1998 to 2000.
