Sonya M. has a diverse and extensive work experience in the technology industry. Sonya is currently working at Snyk as a Senior Security Advocate | DevRel, where they collaborate with peers and engages with the development community to promote secure practices. Prior to that, they served as an Ambassador for Snyk and helped the development community build securely through various activities such as workshops, reports, and blogposts.

Sonya has also worked at GitHub as a GitHub Star and GitHub Security Ambassador. In this role, they contributed to nurturing and growing less-explored communities and projects while focusing on security within open-source projects and DevSecOps. Sonya has also been an Ambassador for OpenUK, supporting the organization's purpose of developing UK Leadership in Open Technology. Additionally, they served as a Security Advisory Board Member for OpenUK.

Furthermore, Sonya's experience includes working as a DevSecOps Guest Expert at GitGuardian, a Publication Author | Top Contributor for freeCodeCamp, a CyberGirls Fellowship Mentor at CyberSafe Foundation, and a Lead Mentor at CAPSLOCK. Sonya has also been an Ambassador for GirlCode®, where they empower women through technology and gives back to women in tech communities through presentations, podcasts, and meetups.

Sonya M. has a diverse and extensive education history. Sonya obtained a Master Degree in International Business Management and Geopolitics from the Paris School of Business, attending from 2002 to 2007. Sonya then pursued further education in various fields.

In 2011 and 2012, Sonya M. studied at Sogang University, where they earned a Korean Language Degree. During this time, they focused on Korean Language, Korean Culture, and Korean History.

From 2015 to 2016, Sonya M. participated in MOOC programs through Coursera/edX, undertaking coursework in Computer Software Engineering. Additionally, they completed courses in Software Engineering through Pluralsight from 2015 to 2018.

In 2016, Sonya M. enrolled in Treehouse and pursued a degree in Software Engineering until 2019. During this time, they gained knowledge and skills in Computer Science.
