Technical Pre-sales Representative

Job description

As a Technical Pre Sales Specialist in our Sales Department, your primary role will be to support our sales team by providing technical expertise to customers. You will be responsible for understanding our products or services in detail, demonstrating them to potential clients, and addressing any technical questions or concerns they may have. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with the sales team to develop customized solutions for clients based on their specific needs. This role requires strong communication skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to effectively convey complex information in a clear and understandable manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Attend meetings with potential clients to determine technical and business requirements ensuring that all necessary information is collected prior to producing or suggesting a solution.

  • Create and self-confidently deliver technical presentations internally and externally.

  • Create design configuration documentation, workflows or diagrams with technical explanations.

  • Coordinate with the Business Development Director in preparing proposals, RFP, and RFI responses.

  • May develop proposal drafts, revisions, and the final response.

  • Research, gather, and coordinate responses from other departments as necessary.  Ensure responses adhere to guidelines and standards.

  • Define proposal task assignments and coordinate proposal team roles and responsibilities.  Responsible for the proposal status including preparation of documents, binding, delivery and deadlines.

  • Sell technical solutions to the customer with professionalism and enthusiasm.

  • Provide accurate and timely management information, such as activity reports, bid reviews, and project forecasts.

  • Continue to develop and refine the sales content library and RFP response template. Maintain SharePoint library of technical proposals, RFP, and RFI responses.

  • Produce compelling sales proposals/commercial and technical documentation outlining the cost savings and business benefits.

  • Ability to demonstrate INVID’s services and products effectively to audiences of varied technical knowledge.

  • Communicate and influence at a senior level.

  • Other duties may be assigned to accomplish the company's business objectives

Must-Have Requirements

  • Business or technical writing experience.

  • Background in Technical Proposals, RFP methodologies, processes, and submission a plus.

  • Excellent writing and editing skills.

  • Project management skills with the ability to work within tight deadlines.

  • Experience in an IT consulting environment with business application software is a plus.

  • Comfortable exploring business software applications.

  • Well-organized with an exemplary attention to detail.

  • Ability to multi-task, problem solve, organize/plan, prioritize and execute multiple projects simultaneously, in a deadline-driven environment, while maintaining high quality work.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

  • Responsive, client-focused attitude; self-motivated, and willing to go the extra mile.

Formal Education & Certification

Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or computer science, and/or ten (10) years of equivalent work experience as a Technical Sales Specialist or similar role.

Knowledge & Experience

  • 5 years or more experience in software development or programming design and systems management.

  • Proven experience overseeing the direction, development, and implementation of software solutions.

  • Direct, hands-on experience with automated software and system management tools.

  • Strong knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies.

  • Good project management skills and substantial exposure to project-based work structures, project lifecycle models, etc.

  • Knowledge of software solutions and data management techniques.

  • Working knowledge of network and PC operating systems.

  • Knowledge of network hardware and software protocols, and standards.

  • Excellent understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.

  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws

  • Fully Bilingual (English and Spanish)
