Research Director - Usaid Learns at Social Impact

Mai Pham has a diverse work experience in various roles and organizations. In 2022, they worked as a Research Director at Social Impact for the USAID Learns project. Prior to that, they were a Project Manager at the New Zealand Asia Institute, where they managed the Leading Asia Savvy Symposium for 2022. Mai also has experience as a PhD Candidate and Graduate Teaching Assistant at The University of Auckland. Mai worked as a Business Lecturer at the New Zealand Institute of Business and Technology in 2021. Earlier in their career, Mai worked as the Coordinator of the Viet Nam Agriculture Alliance and later as the Operations Manager and Project Manager at the Viet Nam Institute for Economic and Policy Research. Mai also served as a Portfolio Analyst at the Prosperity Initiative and as a Researcher and Project Coordinator at the Institute for Policy and Strategy in Agriculture and Rural Development (IPSARD).

Mai Pham's education history begins with a Bachelor of Arts in International Business from Vietnam National University, Hanoi, which they obtained between 1999 and 2003. Then, they pursued a Master of Science in Agribusiness Management from the National Pingtung University of Science and Technology from 2004 to 2006. Following that, Mai Pham enrolled at The University of Auckland, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Marketing from 2019 to 2022.

In addition to their academic degrees, Mai Pham has also obtained several certifications. Mai completed the NVivo 2018 Essential Training and Learning NVivo courses from LinkedIn in August 2021 and January 2021, respectively. Moreover, Mai Pham acquired certifications in Marketing Foundations: Qualitative Research and Social Media Marketing: Strategy and Optimization, both from LinkedIn, in January 2021 and December 2020, respectively.
