Carol J. Dingeldey

Carol J. Dingeldey is currently the Executive Director at Society for Vascular Ultrasound. Carol has extensive experience in leadership and management, having served as the Executive Director at the Connecticut State Dental Association from May 2006 to May 2021, and the Director of Scientific, Clinical and Educational Affairs at the American Academy of Periodontology from January 1996 to December 2006. In their most recent role, they were responsible for overseeing all aspects of the organization, including administration, finances, programs and services, personnel and property. Carol also provided vision and leadership to the board of Governors in developing the Association's strategic plan, and executing programs and services to achieve organizational success. In addition, they were responsible for lobbying State legislators and agencies on issues of interest to CSDA members and the practice of dentistry in Connecticut. Finally, they developed and fostered relationships with other stakeholders to advance the Association's agenda.

Before their work in dental associations, Dingeldey worked as the Safe Return Program coordinator at the Alzheimer's Association from November 1992 to September 1996. In this role, they were responsible for coordinating a national program that helped caregivers locate individuals with Alzheimer's who had wandered away from home.

Dingeldey is a skilled leader with a proven track record of success in managing organizations and executing strategic plans. Carol has a deep understanding of the dental profession and the issues that impact dentists in Connecticut. Carol J. Dingeldey has a Master's in Public Administration from Michigan State University with a concentration in public health administration. Carol also holds a Bachelor of Science from Michigan State University in microbiology and public health. Carol is a certified association executive (CAE) from ASAE: The Center for Association Leadership.
