Keaton Smetana, PharmD, MBA, BCCCP, FNCS has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of pharmacy and critical care. Keaton is currently serving as a Clinical Pharmacy Manager at OhioHealth, where they started in May 2022. Additionally, they hold the position of PGY1/2 HSPAL Residency Coordinator at the same organization, starting in October 2022.

In terms of professional leadership roles, Keaton is the President-elect of The Ohio Chapter of the Society of Critical Care Medicine, beginning in March 2023. Keaton also holds positions at the Neurocritical Care Society, serving as the Marketing and Communications Chair-Elect since October 2022, and as the Visual Abstract Editor for Neurocritical Care from October 2020 to October 2022.

Prior to their current roles, Keaton worked as a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Neurocritical Care at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center from August 2016 to May 2022. Keaton also gained valuable experience during their residency at the University of Kentucky, where they completed their PGY2 Critical Care Pharmacy residency from July 2015 to August 2016, as well as their PGY1 Pharmacy Practice residency from June 2014 to June 2015.

Keaton Smetana, PharmD, MBA, BCCCP, FNCS, completed their education history as follows. Keaton obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Psychology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville from 2006 to 2010. Following this, they pursued a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree at The University of Tennessee Health Science Center from 2010 to 2014. In 2019, Keaton enrolled in The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business, where they completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in 2022. Keaton has also obtained various certifications, including Board Certified Critical Care Pharmacist certification from the BPS - Board of Pharmacy Specialties in December 2016, Emergency Neurological Life Support certification from the Neurocritical Care Society in November 2015, Advanced Trauma Life Support (Auditor) certification from the American College of Surgeons in August 2015, Scholarship of Teaching and Learning Certificate from the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy in June 2015, and Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery certification from the American Pharmacists Association in August 2010.
