Chinthaka Uggallage

Chinthaka Uggallage has over 15 years of experience in network and IT infrastructure. Chinthaka started their career as a Computer Operator at Richard Pieris And Company PLC in 2004, where they were responsible for day-to-day data manipulation and feeding ERP (BAAN) systems. Chinthaka also audited and reconciled GRN and receipting, and managed servers and systems.

In 2007, Chinthaka joined Asian Alliance Insurence PLC as a Network Engineer. In this role, they designed and managed the company's network infrastructure. Chinthaka also handled auditing requirements and disaster recovery functions, and managed servers and systems for SQL and Oracle.

Chinthaka then moved to Softlogic Life in 2014, where they initially worked as a Manager in Network & IT infrastructure. Chinthaka'sresponsibilities included installing, configuring, and maintaining network hardware such as routers, switches, hubs, and firewalls.

In 2018, Chinthaka was promoted to the role of Senior Manager in Network & IT infrastructure at Softlogic Life. In this position, they developed and implemented IT strategies and plans to support the organization's goals and objectives.

Throughout their career, Chinthaka has demonstrated expertise in network and IT infrastructure management, including hardware installation and configuration, system administration, and disaster recovery.

Chinthaka Uggallage began their education at Pannipitiya Dharmapala Vidyalaya from 1992 to 2001, where they studied O/L and A/L. In 2003, they attended SLIIT and obtained an Associate Diploma in Information Technology in 2004. From 2012 to 2014, Chinthaka attended the University of Greenwich and earned a BSc (Hons) in Computer Systems and Networking.

In terms of additional certifications, Chinthaka obtained the Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals certification from Microsoft in August 2020. Chinthaka further expanded their knowledge in Azure with the Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Fundamentals certification in February 2023 and the Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate certification in March 2023.
