Magiel Bruntink

Magiel Bruntink has over 20 years of diverse work experience in various roles within the technology sector. Magiel started their career as a Customer Service Representative at UPC and later worked as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Amsterdam. In 2003, they joined the Centrum voor Wiskunde en Informatica as a Researcher, where they focused on crosscutting concerns and aspect-oriented programming. During this time, they also completed their dissertation on the renovation of idiomatic crosscutting concerns in embedded systems.

In 2008, Magiel joined the Software Improvement Group (SIG) as a Senior Consultant, leading advisory projects for clients in sectors such as government, banking, insurance, tourism, transportation, and education. Magiel played a key role in coordinating delivery teams and serving as the primary client-facing consultant. Magiel also briefly worked as a Scientific Consultant at ASML before returning to SIG.

At the University of Amsterdam, Magiel held multiple roles, including Program Director, Researcher, and Member of Educational Committee (OC). Magiel was responsible for various research projects and overseeing educational programs.
