Arndt Thomas Freudenberg

Arndt Thomas Freudenberg has a diverse and extensive work experience in the energy and climate policy sector. Arndt Thomas is currently the Head of Political Affairs at SOLARWATT Germany, a position they have held since 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Sunovate from 2018 to 2022, where they were a Member of the Advisory Team, involved in the development of innovative photovoltaic thermal technology. Arndt Thomas was also an Independent Consultant for Energy and Climate from 2017 to 2022, specializing in EU energy and climate policies.

In the past, Arndt served as an Advisor to a Member of the European Parliament from 2021 to 2022, providing guidance on energy and climate issues. Arndt Thomas was the Head of EU Representation at EWE AG from 2014 to 2016, where they focused on the integration of energy, telecommunications, and IT services to create sustainable intelligent energy systems. Before that, they worked as a Senior Advisor at the German Association of Public Utilities (VKU) from 2010 to 2014, representing the interests of more than 1400 public utilities in the energy sector.

Arndt's career also includes their role as an Advisor to the Board at CEDEC - European Federation of Local Energy Companies from 2010 to 2014, where they worked on behalf of over 1500 local and regional energy companies at the EU level. Arndt Thomas started their professional journey as a Policy Advisor at the European Parliament from 2006 to 2009. With a focus on EU energy and climate policies, Arndt has developed a deep understanding of the complex energy landscape and has been actively involved in developing sustainable solutions.

Arndt Thomas Freudenberg has attended Technical University of Dresden and University of Vienna for an unknown period of time, without completing any specific degree or field of study.
