Varun Sadaphal, Ph.D. has had a diverse range of work experiences. Varun currently holds the position of Senior Engineer at Solenic Medical, starting in January 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Clinical Engineer at Invoy from June 2022 to December 2022.

Varun's most extensive work experience was at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, where they were a Graduate Research Assistant from August 2017 to May 2022. During this time, they worked on developing an alternating magnetic field (AMF) device for non-invasive treatment of bacteria-infected metallic implants.

Before their time at UT Southwestern, Varun worked at Southeast Missouri State University. From May 2016 to July 2017, they served as a Research Assistant, participating in projects related to stem cells, nanoparticle coatings, and biomarkers. Additionally, they held multiple roles at SEMO, including a Learning Assistant from March 2014 to May 2017, tutoring physics courses, and a Teaching Assistant from January 2014 to May 2017, assisting professors in physics labs and grading assignments.

Varun also had a brief experience at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in 2016. Varun participated in the Abshire-Inamori Leadership Academy, a four-day seminar focused on global issues.

Varun Sadaphal, Ph.D. began their education at Delhi Public School in India from 2011 to 2013, where they completed their high school studies with a focus on physics, math, chemistry, and biotechnology. After completing their high school education, they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Engineering Physics from Southeast Missouri State University from 2013 to 2017. During their undergraduate studies, they obtained additional certifications in Nano Bio Engineering and Laser Safety from Southeast Missouri State University in May 2016 and September 2015, respectively.

Following their bachelor's degree, Varun continued their education at UT Southwestern Medical Center from 2017 to 2022. Here, they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biomedical Engineering.
