Process Engineer at Solidia Technologies

Alan Blacklock has held a variety of roles throughout their career. In 2002, they began their career as a Swim Instructor at the YMCA, where they gave swimming lessons to children ages 2-12 as an assistant and head instructor, and aided autistic children in swimming in the pool once a week during the summer. In 2005, they took on a role as a Lawn Care Technician at Treasure Lawns. In 2006, they worked as an Architecture Intern at Schemata Architecture, transcribing hard-copy floor plans into AutoCAD and drafting cross sections for a new bank in AutoCAD. In 2007, they worked as a Retail Associate at a Home Goods Retailer, unloading truck shipments and moving inventory to the retail floor, keeping the retail floor clean and orderly, and assisting customers with finding products. In 2008, they worked as an R&D Intern at Novartis, coordinating with Siemens engineers to setup new plant operating and control system in the pilot plant, validating the new system by charging, heating, and monitoring multiple batch reactors, and assisting with P&ID of pre-existing system. Finally, in 2014, they took on a role as a Process Engineer at Solidia Technologies\u00ae.

Alan Blacklock attended the New Jersey Institute of Technology from 2009 to 2013, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Chemical Engineering. Prior to that, they attended Union College - NJ from 2008 to 2009, where they studied Engineering Technology, General.
