Juan Hontanilla Estruch

Juan Hontanilla Estruch has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Juan started their career in 1997 as a Técnico mecánico y electrónico at HOMAG, where they gained experience in circuit board revision, assembly, microprocessor programming, and mechanical design. In 1998, they briefly worked as a Becario at Iris Hadar AB.

In 2003, Juan joined GE Healthcare as a Proyectista, contributing to the development and maintenance of reliability applications for the INNOVA systems in the vascular engineering department. Juan utilized XML, XSLT, and Java during this role.

From 2004 to 2007, Juan served as a Jefe de Proyecto at TSB Tecnologia, overseeing the implementation of critical projects like the lab quality control and maintenance application for Sanitat GVA and the management system for a home hospitalization unit at the Hospital Universitario Marqués de Valdecillas.

During their tenure at TeleHealth SL from 2007 to 2008, Juan held the position of Director Técnico. Juan was responsible for various technical tasks and product quality management for Telehealth's offerings, including the innovative Dermamóvil product supported by prestigious healthcare institutions.

Juan worked as an iOS Consultant at Locassa Ltd from October 2012 to March 2013. Here, they contributed to the development of top iOS applications for renowned brands such as Canon, GXS, Busuu, and The Times.

From 2008 to 2022, Juan served as the Director General at MENSAMATIC, overseeing the general operations of the company.

At DEVELAPPS, Juan acted as the CEO from May 2010 to January 2022. The company focused on mobile app development, winning awards such as "Best APP in Spain 2012" by The App Date and being finalists for "Best App iOT Spain 2016." They also achieved a Guinness World Record for participation in contest-type apps.

Currently, Juan holds the position of CCO de la Unidad de Desarrollo a Medida at Cuatroochenta since January 2022. Juan is responsible for leading and directing the custom development unit. Additionally, they will assume the role of Socio Director from April 2023 onwards.

Juan Hontanilla Estruch began their education in 1995 at IDIOMAS where they pursued a degree in GRADO, focusing on the study of English, French, and German. From 1996 to 2003, they attended Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), where they obtained a degree in INGENIERO TECNICO SUPERIOR TELECOMUNICACIONES with a specialization in Telemática. In 2001, they furthered their education at IMT Atlantique for two years, earning a degree in Genie Telecom / Ingenieur supérieur de télécommunications. The specific field of study during this time was STIX - Sciences et technologies de la information et la communication pour la santé. In 2013, Juan briefly attended UCL to participate in The Mobile Academy, although the field of study for this program is not specified.
