Yasmin Lucero

Yasmin Lucero has worked in a variety of roles since 2002. Yasmin began their career as a Graduate Student at UC Santa Cruz, where they developed a novel population dynamics model for nonlinear early life history dynamics. From 2007 to 2011 they were a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Northwest Fisheries Science Center, NOAA. From 2011 to 2021 they were a Statistician/Data Scientist at Signal to Noise Consulting, where they focused on multilevel models and the natural resource management sector. From 2017 to 2020 they were a Director of Data / Machine Learning Engineer at Dia&Co, and from 2020 to 2021 they were a Sr Software Eng and Dir of Engineering at WhoCo. In 2021 they were a Coach at BestPracticer, and in 2022 they are a Sr Engineering Manager at Solv.

Yasmin Lucero obtained their PhD in Ocean Sciences from UC Santa Cruz in 2007, after having earned their B.A. in Human Ecology from College of the Atlantic in 1999.
