José Luis E. Monti

José Luis E. Monti has extensive experience in the scientific and academic fields. José Luis E. began their career as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Buenos Aires, where they lectured on various topics including enzyme kinetics, data analysis, mass spectrometry, and analytical chemistry. During their time there, they also conducted research on photoreagent diazirine as a tool for determining protein surface area and identifying solvent-exposed residues.

Following this, José worked as an Assistant Researcher and PhD Student, studying the kinetic mechanism of Na+/K+ ATPase and conducting enzymatic activity and binding assays. José Luis E. then joined the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen as a Researcher, where they focused on studying the assisted insertion of peptides into membranes using molecular biology techniques.

José then obtained a postdoctoral research scholarship through the Erasmus Mundus Programme before returning to Argentina to work at CONICET. At CONICET, they held the role of Principal Scientist, providing analytical services to clients in the pharmaceutical industry and academia. José Luis E. also provided professional consulting services, developed analytical strategies, and reviewed GMP documentation.

José's most recent position is at Solvias, where they currently work as a Scientist in Large Molecules/ATMP Services.

José Luis E. Monti completed their education with a Biochemistry degree from the University of Buenos Aires. José Luis E. attended the university from 1994 to 2002. Following this, they pursued a PhD in Biophysics at the same university, completing their degree from 2003 to 2011.
