Jorge Neyra

Jorge Neyra has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Jorge currently holds the position of Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Somatus, where they started in 2021 as a Machine Learning Engineer. Prior to this, they worked at Axle Informatics as a Developer from 2018 to 2021. From 2013 to 2018, they worked as a Developer at 3Advance. Before that, Jorge worked as an IT Purchasing Agent at Westat (Quadrant) from 2012 to 2013. Jorge also served as a Sr. Technology Purchasing Analyst at Marriott International from 2006 to 2012 and as a Business Services Assistant at BB&T from 2002 to 2006.

Jorge Neyra holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Global Business and Public Policy, with a minor in computing, from the University of Maryland Global Campus. Jorge'seducation at the University of Maryland Baltimore County began in 2020 and is ongoing as they pursue a Master's degree in Data Science, which is expected to be completed in 2022.

In addition to their formal education, Jorge has obtained certifications in various fields. In December 2020, they completed the "Fundamentals of Accelerated Data Science with RAPIDS" certification offered by NVIDIA. Jorge also holds a certification in "Fundamentals of Deep Learning for Computer Vision" from the NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute, which was obtained in May 2020.
