Peter Yeates

Peter Yeates has a diverse work experience spanning from 1992 to the present. Peter has held various roles in different organizations. Their most recent position is Director of Technology Services at Somerville House, where they started in November 2021. Prior to this, they worked at ACS (Australian Computer Society) as a member of the QLD Branch Executive Committee since 2016. From 2016 to 2021, they served as the ICT Systems Manager at Padua College, Kedron, where they provided strategic and operational leadership in delivering ICT infrastructure and systems. Before that, they worked at EtherWorks Pty Ltd as a Communications Consultant from 2015 to 2016. From 2006 to 2015, they held the position of Information Services Manager & eLearning Coordinator at Ipswich Grammar School. Peter also served on the QLD Branch Executive Committee in ACS from 2010 to 2012. Additionally, they have experience as an IT Manager at St Joseph's College Toowoomba and an Information Technology Technician at BENOWA STATE HIGH SCHOOL. Peter started their career at Marriott International, where they held various roles in F&B and Front Office.

Peter Yeates has a diverse education history. In 1987 to 1989, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Recreation Management from QUT (Queensland University of Technology). Peter later pursued a Bachelor of Hotel Management from Griffith University between 1992 and 1994, focusing on Human Resource Information Systems and Business. Peter then returned to QUT to complete a Graduate Diploma in Information Technology from 2000 to 2002. Peter furthered their education at QUT by pursuing a Master of Information Technology from 2002 to 2003. Continuing their passion for information technology, Peter pursued a Single Subject - Master of Information Technology in Organizational Change Management at the Australian Computer Society (ACS) in 2010. More recently, in 2020, they obtained two Microcredentials from the Australian Computer Society (ACS), specializing in Information Security and Operations Management. Additionally, Peter has acquired the certification of "Microsoft Esports Leader" from Microsoft in 2021.
