Ken Tabacchi

Ken Tabacchi has a diverse work experience in various engineering roles. Ken worked as a Sr. Embedded Software Engineer at Sonance starting in 2022. Prior to that, they were a Sr. Firmware Engineer at LucidSound from 2020 to 2022. At LucidSound, they managed the firmware development for gaming audio headsets and worked on the design and development of electrical hardware and industrial designs for audio products.

Before their role at LucidSound, Ken worked as a Senior Firmware Engineer at Skyworks Solutions, Inc. from 2016 to 2020. In this role, they managed firmware applications and an SDK for wireless SOC's, including gaming headsets and speaker bars.

Ken also has experience in education, having worked as an Instructor at the University of California, Irvine Division of Continuing Education from 2016 to 2020.

Prior to that, Ken was the President and CEO of Tabacchi Consulting from 2015 to 2016. In this role, they collaborated with customers in product development, designing firmware solutions for gaming headsets and wireless audio products.

Earlier in their career, Ken worked as a Principal Servo Firmware Engineer at Western Digital from 2013 to 2015, where they served as a firmware architect technical lead for servo hard disk control firmware. Ken also gained experience as a Sr. Firmware Engineer at Netlist, Inc. in 2012, leading firmware development for a non-volatile DDR3 memory product.

Ken's earlier roles include being a Sr. Staff Servo Firmware Engineer at Western Digital Corporation from 2008 to 2012, a Sr. Audio Design Engineer at Momentum Data Systems from 2005 to 2008, and a DSP Engineer at Alpine Electronics Research of America, Inc. from 2004 to 2005. In these roles, they worked on various embedded systems, firmware development, and audio signal processing algorithms.

Ken Tabacchi completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering at Oakland University from 1992 to 1997. Ken then pursued a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering Systems at the University of Michigan from 1999 to 2001. Additionally, in 2001, they participated in an exchange program as a student at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. The field of study for this exchange program is not specified.
