Gillian Gurney

Gillian Gurney has an extensive work experience spanning multiple industries and roles in human resources. Gillian started their career in 1998 as an HR Administrator at Chrysler Canada before moving on to positions such as HR Specialist and HR Programs Consultant at Canadian Tire Corporation. At Anapharm, Gillian served as a Manager of Human Resources, overseeing HR activities in Ontario and driving employee engagement. Gillian then joined MMM Group as a Manager of Organizational Development, where they developed and implemented national OD strategies. At CGI, Gillian held roles as Manager of Organizational Effectiveness and Director of Organizational Development, responsible for maximizing business results through talent management and change management. Gillian later joined Sofina Foods Inc. as a Director of Organizational Development and Talent Management, eventually becoming a Senior Director in both areas. Most recently, Gillian was the Head of Human Resources at Wild Fork Canada, and they are currently serving as the Vice President of Human Resources at Sonepar Canada.

Gillian Gurney holds a Master's degree in Human Resource Management from York University, which they obtained in 2005. Gillian also completed a Post Diploma in Human Resource Management at Seneca Polytechnic. Additionally, they earned a BA Hons degree from Glendon Campus of York University.
