Wyatt Wilkerson

Sr. Manager, UX Research at Sony Interactive Entertainment

Wyatt Wilkerson has a diverse range of work experience in the field of UX research and design. Wyatt has held various roles at Sony Interactive Entertainment, starting as a Sr. UX Researcher from June 2017 to November 2020. Wyatt then advanced to the position of Lead UX Researcher from November 2020 to June 2022, followed by a promotion to UX Research Manager from June 2022 to June 2023. Currently, they serve as a Sr. Manager, UX Research at Sony Interactive Entertainment, starting in June 2023.

Prior to their time at Sony Interactive Entertainment, Wyatt worked as a Human Factors Engineer (Contractor) at Sony Electronics, from November 2015 to May 2017. Before that, they were employed at Tata Consultancy Services as a Usability Lab Manager, where they led teams in conducting UX work for various clients, including Northern Trust, Citibank, Target, Toys'R'us, Apple, and Dow Chemical, from April 2012 to October 2015.

Going further back in their career, Wyatt gained experience as a User Experience Designer at Nokia Mobile Phones from August 2007 to January 2012. In this role, they organized and moderated usability and prototype tests for the S40 series of phones, created and maintained interaction design guidelines and interface specifications, and acted as an Expert Reviewer during holistic device experience and third-party application reviews.

Additionally, Wyatt worked as a Research Assistant at the Vietnam Era Twin Study of Aging (VETSA) from April 2006 to July 2007. In this position, they analyzed and archived data from twin subjects, including cognitive performance, DNA, and structural MRI. Wyatt also played a key role in refining the experimental scoring criteria for a spatial memory test, which improved data accuracy between scorers.

Wyatt Wilkerson obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Cognitive Science from UC San Diego. Wyatt'sstudies in this field took place from 2004 to 2008. Wyatt continued their education at San Jose State University, pursuing a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Human Factors / Ergonomics, which they completed from 2012 to 2014.
