Thanh Nguyen

Thanh Nguyen is a Senior Research Engineer at Sony since May 2021, specializing in advanced image processing and deep learning techniques. Previously, Thanh served as a Science Collaborator at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center from January 2019 to May 2021, focusing on IRAD proposals and research for exoplanetary and atmospheric parameter retrievals. Thanh's academic journey includes a postdoctoral researcher role at The Catholic University of America from September 2014 to May 2021, where research involved machine learning and deep learning for biomedical imaging, as well as a Ph.D. in 3D Imaging and Digital Holography. Thanh also contributed to Alzheimer's disease research during a graduate assistantship at Georgetown University School of Medicine in 2017. Educational background includes a Ph.D., an MS in Electrical Engineering, and a BE in Electrical Engineering, all obtained from The Catholic University of America.
