John Gilleeny, EdD, CPTD, SPHR, has extensive experience in talent management, learning and development, and organizational development. John currently serves as the VP of Global Talent Management at SOPHiA GENETICS, where they oversee various functions including recruiting, performance management, leadership development, and change management. Prior to this role, John held leadership positions at ZoomInfo, SharkNinja, and Simpson Gumpertz & Heger Inc., where they focused on driving talent development initiatives and implementing organizational interventions. John also served as the Instructional Design Manager/Lead Leadership Consultant at General Physics Corporation, where they led a team in creating effective learning solutions for clients. Before their corporate roles, John worked as a media and visual arts teacher at Marple Newtown School District and as an instructional designer/leadership consultant at 11-Seven Consulting. John started their career as a Creative Director/Lead Multimedia and Web Developer at Beken Creative, where they managed design projects and client relationships. Throughout their career, John has successfully delivered numerous learning and talent solutions and has expertise in areas such as executive coaching, knowledge management, and compliance training.
John Gilleeny has an extensive education history in various fields. In 1996, they graduated from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science degree in Art Education. John continued their education and obtained a Master of Science degree in Education Technology from Wilkes University in 2007.
To further enhance their knowledge in the field of education leadership and technology, John pursued a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree from the University of Phoenix, which they completed in 2016.
In 2013, John obtained a Master of Science degree in Education Business Administration from the University of Scranton, focusing on educational leadership and administration. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Southern New Hampshire University, which they completed in 2021.
