Tong Zhu

Tong Zhu has extensive work experience in the field of chemistry. Tong started their career as an Assistant Research Scientist at The University of Georgia, CCRC in 1998 and worked there until 2002. Tong then joined ChemBridge Research Labs as an Associate Director from 2002 to 2009. Later, they worked at RGo Bioscience LLC as a Principal Scientist from 2009 to 2011. Currently, they are serving as the Executive Director of Chemistry at Sorrento Therapeutics, Inc. since 2012.

Tong Zhu completed a Bachelor's Degree in Organic Chemistry at Peking University from 1989 to 1994. Following this, they pursued a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry at the University of Birmingham from 1996 to 1998. Later, from 1998 to 2002, Zhu worked as a postdoc specializing in carbohydrate chemistry at The University of Georgia.
