Adam McLaurin

Adam McLaurin has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Adam started their career as a Senior Software Developer at BAE Systems in 2004. Adam then moved to Encelium Technologies, where they worked as a Technical Team Lead, demonstrating their expertise in C++, Perl, and Linux. Later, they joined Bank of America Merrill Lynch as a Senior Software Developer and Product Owner, managing the development of a managed development platform and an AMPS high-throughput messaging system. At CPP Investment Board, they served as a Software Development Manager in charge of Portfolio Analytics Systems. McLaurin then joined RBC Global Asset Management, where they held the role of Vice President, leading the Investment Platforms team and implementing DevOps and cloud platforms. Their most recent experience is with SoundHound AI, working as an Engineering Director in the fields of Speech Recognition and Voice AI Systems. Overall, their expertise lies in Python, software engineering, and technology leadership.

Adam McLaurin earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Toronto, attending from 1999 to 2003. In addition to their degree, they also obtained several certifications throughout their career, including the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services in September 2021, the Digital Transformation for Tech Leaders certification from LinkedIn in 2019, and the Red Hat Enterprise Performance Tuning certification from ExitCertified in 2011.
