Angelica Steele

Angelica Steele has extensive experience in the tech industry. In 2013, they began their career as a Web Developer and Data Entry Clerk at Peachy Studios, where they learned HTML and CSS and gained experience with the process of buying/maintaining domains, hosting websites on a server, accessing files located on a self-hosted server, Wordpress and the basics of Joomla & other website creation tools, Adobe Photoshop, and data entry.

In 2014, Angelica founded nFairy Studios, a web design & consulting business. Angelica also worked as a UI Designer at Verill, where they designed POCs & requirements for a medical application and wrote & gave presentations to potential investors & clients.

In 2016, Angelica began working at GSI Health as a UX Specialist and Junior Software Engineer. As a UX Specialist, they worked more closely with POs to mock up POCs for new product features, met with Healthcare Professionals for user testing and feedback, and implemented Rapid Application Development into the company workflow. As a Junior Software Engineer, they redesigned product layout to make it more intuitive for clients, simplified product appearance to improve client productivity, and created and updated features based on POCs/requirements written by POs.

In 2018, Angelica co-founded Transactive.io, where they helped facilitate the entire "vision to reality" process, from brainstorming with clients, generating mockups and roadmaps, to managing a team and carrying out development tasks. Angelica also researched, implemented & maintained the company toolset, managed a team of world-wide developers, worked with C-level staff to plan and maintain a successful company roadmap, worked directly with customers to generate project/product roadmaps, provided customer assistance, answered questions, performed maintenance, generated backlogs of tasks for a team, delegated tasks to team members, trained interns from little to low-level experience to "Jr. UI Developer" status in a "Software Bootcamp" style setting, and held 1-on-1 training sessions to assure the success of each individual.

In 2019, Angelica began working as an Operations Manager at Source Digital, where they were responsible for the overall well-being of the company’s operations, helping to connect departments through communication, tools, documentation, and the implementation and management of business processes. Angelica also served as a Project Manager.

In 2020, Angelica co-founded Then We Win.

Angelica Steele completed their high school education at Central High School, earning a High School/Secondary Diplomas and Certificates in 2013-2014. Angelica then pursued a self-designed homeschool curriculum at Business & Technology Preparatory High School, graduating in 2015. In 2014, they obtained Certificates from Coursera for the courses "Understanding the Brain: The Neurobiology of Everyday Life" and "AstroTech: The Science and Technology behind Astronomical Discovery." In 2018, they obtained a HIPAA Associate (HIPAAA) certification from ProHIPAA. Angelica is currently pursuing a Shaping up with Angular.js certification from Code School.
