Scott Loftin

Scott Loftin is an experienced technology professional specializing in software engineering and artificial intelligence. Currently serving as an Advisor and Co-Founder/CTO at VLM Run since May 2023, and as a Founder Fellow at South Park Commons since June 2023, Scott has a robust background in AI and on-device systems. Prior experience includes a role as a Senior Software Engineer at Meta from August 2021 to May 2023, focusing on on-device AI and deep learning compilers, and as a Senior Software Engineer for Autopilot at Tesla from September 2019 to August 2021. Scott's earlier roles involved significant contributions to vehicle control systems at Cruise Automation and software development at DeepScale and Leap Motion, highlighting a strong foundation in computer vision and simulation for automotive applications. Scott holds a Bachelor of Arts in Physics and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
