Sammy Jones

Sammy Jones has extensive experience in health, safety, environment, and risk management, particularly within the mining and aluminium industries. Currently serving as Manager of Health Safety Environment Risk and Training at South32 since January 2019, Sammy has previously held various leadership roles at the company, including Principal Closure Planning and Improvement Manager. Prior to South32, Sammy worked as HSE Manager and HSEC Reporting Lead in Australia, and as a project analyst at BHP Billiton. Sammy's earlier experience includes managerial positions at the International Aluminium Institute and a prominent role as Ladies Club Captain at East London Hockey Club, where notable accolades were received. Sammy's educational background includes a Master’s Degree in Geology from Imperial College London.
