Valerie Wade

Valerie Wade has extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as Plant Manager at Alabama Power Company since April 2015 and holding a similar position at Mississippi Power Company since May 1990. Additionally, Valerie has contributed to the Capstone Alumni Society Board of Directors at The University of Alabama since 2011. Previous roles include Plant Manager at Mississippi Power - A Southern Company from October 2008 to August 2010, and Engineering & Planning Manager at Georgia Power Company from May 2006 to October 2008. Valerie began their career in operations as a Supervisor at Plant Bowen, Georgia Power Company from May 2005 to May 2006. Valerie holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from The University of Alabama, where studies were completed between 1989 and 1992, along with a leadership program from Leadership Gulf Coast in 2011.
