Keith Sudheimer

Keith Sudheimer is an Assistant Professor at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale since August 2020, following a significant tenure at Stanford University from 2009 to August 2020, where roles included Clinical Assistant Professor, Instructor, and Postdoctoral Scholar. Research expertise spans major depression, with studies involving neuroimaging, endocrine, and behavioral measures, along with projects on emotional processes using transcranial magnetic stimulation and deep brain stimulation. Prior to Stanford, Keith Sudheimer completed graduate studies at the University of Michigan, focusing on neuroimaging and the effects of cortisol on emotional processes, and served as a Graduate Student Instructor for a course on Biological Psychiatry. Earlier experience includes work as a Research Assistant at Michigan State University, conducting neuroimaging studies on pain perception and comparative neuroanatomy, and authoring brain atlases.
