Elizabeth Sundstrom is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in the nuclear industry. Currently serving as a Senior Engineer at Southern Nuclear Operating Company since October 2015, Elizabeth has also held the position of Principal Engineer at Westinghouse Electric Company since May 2005, where responsibilities include leading engineering teams and conducting thermal hydraulic analyses using the GOTHIC code. Prior roles at Westinghouse include Senior Engineer and Engineer, where work focused on safety and operational analyses related to containment and auxiliary buildings. Elizabeth began their career as a Research Assistant at Case Western Reserve University, where notable work included developing an endoscope and gripping device inspired by marine mollusk biomechanics. Elizabeth earned a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University in 2005.
