Venkatesh Kumanan

Venkatesh Kumanan has a diverse work experience in engineering and construction. Venkatesh is currently working as a Project Engineer at Southland Holdings, overseeing grading and bridge construction operations in a project in West Palm Beach, Florida. Previously, they worked as a Project Engineer at the same company, where they managed the structural construction process, prepared change orders and ROM, and designed counterweight concepts for removing superstructures. Before that, Venkatesh worked as a Field Engineer, estimating quantities and supervising various construction processes for the Brightline project. Venkatesh also contacted vendors and sub-contractors for materials.

Prior to their work at Southland Holdings, Venkatesh was a Student Research Assistant at the University of Florida, where they analyzed different types of homes for disaster-prone areas and calculated power requirements for essential appliances. Venkatesh also had an internship as a Project Engineering Intern at Southland Holdings, where they estimated quantities, supervised construction processes, and sourced materials for the Virgin Brightline project.

Venkatesh's earlier experience includes working as a Planning Engineer at CCCL India Ltd, where they developed quantity estimations, supervised formwork and concrete placement, and conducted quality control checks for a hospital building. Venkatesh also worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at PSG College of Technology and as a Design Engineer at Black Stone Group Technologies Pvt. Ltd, where they carried out steel connection design and designed connectors using Autodesk ROBOT. Additionally, Venkatesh worked as a Field Engineer at Bharat Builders in India.

Venkatesh Kumanan completed their education as follows:

- From 2019 to 2020, they attended the University of Florida and obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Construction Management.

- Between 2016 and 2018, they studied at PSG College of Technology, where they earned a Master's Degree in Structural Engineering.

- From 2012 to 2016, they attended SSN College of Engineering and completed their Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Civil Engineering.

- Venkatesh Kumanan's primary education took place at Bhavan's Rajaji Vidhyashram from 1997 to 2012, where they completed their School Studies.

Moreover, they hold several additional certifications, including an Engineer In Training certification obtained in February 2022 from NCEES. In February 2020, they earned Procore certifications as both an Engineer and a Student from Procore Technologies. Furthermore, they obtained a Construction Estimating Takeoff certification in December 2019 from LinkedIn, and in December 2018, they completed the "Introduction to Financial Accounting" course via Coursera.
