Senior Director, Network Planner at Southwest Airlines

Matt Muehleisen has extensive work experience in the aviation industry. Matt began their career in 2000 as an Assistant Crew Planner at United Airlines. In 2001, they joined Flexjet as a Crew Planner before moving to Southwest Airlines later that year. At Southwest Airlines, Matt held various positions, starting as a Senior Planner in Schedule Planning and progressing to roles such as Lead Planner of Future Schedules and Senior OCC Performance Analyst. Matt then transitioned into management roles, including Manager of Network Planning, Senior Manager of Network Planning, and Director of Network Planning. From 2018 to 2023, Matt served as the Senior Director of Network Planning, responsible for overseeing the airline's network initiatives. Currently, they hold the position of Managing Director of Network Initiative and Operations Control at Southwest Airlines.
