Peter Requa

Peter Requa is the current Senior Director of Supply Chain Management-Technical Operations at Southwest Airlines. Peter has held this position since September of 2011. Prior to their current role, Peter served as the Sr. Director Operations Administration for AirTran Airways from January of 2000 until September of 2011. In this role, they were responsible for a variety of functions including Operations Finance, Contracts, Ground Support Equipment Maintenance (GSE), Stores, Repair Order Administration, Material Planning, and Aircraft Warranties.

Before joining AirTran Airways, Peter was the Manager of Vendors and Warranties at Reno Air from June of 1998 until December of 1999. In this role, they were responsible for aircraft maintenance vendors and warranties.

Peter began their career in the airline industry in February of 1988 at United Airlines where they worked until June of 1998. During their time at United Airlines, they served as the Manager of Capital Planning where they were responsible for capital planning, inventory analysis and reporting, and capital investment review.

Peter Requa has a BS in Aeronautics (Aeronautical Operations) from San Jose State University.

They are on a team with Michael AuBuchon - Senior Director, Fuel Supply Chain Management, Mike Dusak - Director, Supply Chain Management, and Wayne Williams - Director, Supply Chain Operations. Peter Requa reports to Stacy Malphurs, VP, Supply Chain Management.
