Eric Thorn

Eric Thorn is currently employed at Southwest Research Institute as the Manager of R&D in the Robotic Autonomy Section within the Robotics Department of the Intelligent Systems Division. Prior to their role at Southwest Research Institute, Eric worked at the University of Florida as a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant, focusing on unmanned ground vehicles and computer-aided design. Eric holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, and dual B.S. degrees in Aerospace Engineering and Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida.
