Chris Easterwood

Chris Easterwood has a long and extensive work experience at Southwire Company. Chris started their career as a System Programmer in 1994, where they were responsible for the local area network, server hardware and operating systems, and troubleshooting. Chris then moved up to the role of Manager of Systems Engineering, managing the Technical team and handling various tasks such as database administration and coding using C, C++, and PowerBuilder. From 1999 to 2005, Chris worked as the Manager of IT Operations and Technical, overseeing the network, storage area network, server hardware and operating systems, and the daily operations of the data center. Since 2005, they have held various Vice President positions, including VP of IT Operations and Technical, VP of SAP Center of Excellence, and currently, VP of ITS Platform Engineering and Infrastructure & Integration Center of Excellence. In these roles, Chris has been responsible for the IT infrastructure, strategy, project management, and leading a team supporting various functions.

Chris Easterwood has a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Computer Engineering from Auburn University, which they obtained from 1990 to 1994. Chris has also participated in various professional development programs focused on IT leadership and information management. In 2010, they attended the CIO Executive Council Pathways for IT Leadership Development. In 2006, they completed the Omicron ITED Information Technology Executive Development program. In 2005, they participated in the SIM Regional Leadership Forum for Information Management Leadership. Additionally, in 2020, they obtained a certification in SAP Solution Knowledge from SAP.
