Avesta Hojjati

Avesta Hojjati, Ph.D., is the Vice President of Engineering at DigiCert, Inc., overseeing a global team focused on advancing technology in connected devices. With a strong background in research and development, Avesta has held several key leadership roles, including VP of R&D and Head of Research & Development, where innovations such as Post Quantum Cryptography and blockchain solutions were prioritized. In addition to responsibilities at DigiCert, Avesta chairs the Technical Working Group for ID4me AISBL, serves on the advisory board for Rutgers University's Big Data program, and contributes to the Sovrin Foundation's Technical Governance Board. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. and an MS in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, along with a BS in Computer Science from Texas Tech University.
