Ross Young

Ross Young has a diverse work experience in data engineering, data analysis, and experimental particle physics. Ross is currently working as a Data Engineer at Space Ape Games since May 2020. Previously, they worked at Zopa from January 2018 to May 2020, where they held roles as a Data Engineer and a Data Analyst. At Zopa, they were attracted to the company's data-driven approach and provided innovative financial solutions using data analysis. Before that, Ross worked at BAE Systems Applied Intelligence for 4 years as a Data Analyst, where they gained a strong track record in delivering software solutions and leading technical workstreams. Ross also has an academic background, having completed a PhD in Experimental Particle Physics at the University of Edinburgh from September 2007 to June 2012, where they contributed to important measurements and experiments at CERN. Ross also worked as a Teaching Assistant during their time at the university. Ross began their educational journey at the University of Strathclyde, where they completed an MSc in Laser Physics from September 2002 to June 2007, focusing on lasers' principles, applications, and theoretical physics. Ross gained laboratory experience at the ETH institute in Zurich during their studies. Overall, Ross Young has a strong background in data analysis, engineering, and experimental physics, showcasing their expertise in both industry and academia.

Ross Young completed their education in a chronological order, starting from 2002 to 2007 at the University of Strathclyde. During this time, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree specializing in Laser Physics and Optoelectronics. Following this, from 2007 to 2012, they attended The University of Edinburgh, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Experimental Particle Physics.
