Bala Poduval

Bala Poduval is a seasoned research scientist with extensive experience in the fields of space weather and artificial intelligence. Currently serving as a Research Scientist III at the University of New Hampshire since January 2019, Bala also holds a position as a Research Affiliate with the Space Science Institute. Previous roles include Researcher at Centrum Wiskunde & Informatica, Scientist at Computational Physics, Inc., and Heliophysicist at NASA Frontier Development Lab, where participation in an AI R&D accelerator program took place. Bala's prior experience encompasses significant contributions as a Research Scientist at Southwest Research Institute, Software Developer at Stanford University, and various roles in research and development at Stanford University, the New Jersey Institute of Technology, and Bell Labs. Bala holds both a Master’s Degree and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Physics from the University of Kerala.
