Nicholas G. Heavens

Affiliate Research Scientist at Space Science Institute

Nicholas G. Heavens serves as the Climate Modelling Manager at Viridien, leading the development of climate modelling services for various sectors since June 2024. Simultaneously, Nicholas holds the position of Affiliate Research Scientist at the Space Science Institute, contributing to long-term planetary science projects while previously serving as a Research Scientist focused on Martian climatology. Nicholas has also been involved with CGG as a Climate Modeller and Project Manager, overseeing the development of high-resolution climate models. Academic roles include Special Member of the Graduate Faculty at the University of Oklahoma and past faculty positions at Hampton University and Imperial College London. Nicholas earned a Ph.D. in Planetary Science from Caltech and a B.S. in Geophysical Sciences from the University of Chicago.
