Joren Jackson

Joren Jackson is a highly experienced engineer specializing in aerospace systems, currently serving as Lead Starship Engineer at SpaceX since July 2018. In this role, Joren leads a team focused on system-level checkouts of the Starship launch vehicle, overseeing requirements definition and test procedure development. Prior positions at SpaceX include Integration and Test Engineer II, where Joren contributed to vehicle test development and production operations as well as fairing, avionics, and pneumatic test procedures. Joren co-founded UBC Rocket and served as a Gliding Instructor with Regional Cadet Air Operations, teaching students to obtain their glider licenses. An early career includes an engineering internship at Snap On Equipment, where Joren conducted software and electrical testing. Joren holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Integrated Engineering from The University of British Columbia and an Associate's Degree from Whatcom Community College.
