Divya Shannon

Divya Shannon has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and organizations. Divya currently works at Speak Agent, Inc. as the Director of Partner Success, a position they started in November 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Speak Agent, Inc. as a Secondary STEM Specialist from June to November 2022.

Before joining Speak Agent, Inc., Divya worked at Leander ISD from August 2020 to June 2022 as a STEM and AVID Educator. Prior to that, they held various roles at Newton Public Schools from August 2011 to June 2020, including Administrator (Math and Computer Science Department Head) from August 2017 to June 2020 and Teacher from August 2011 to June 2020.

Divya also has experience working at the Summer Institute for the Gifted (SIG) as an Academic Dean. Divya held this role from June to August 2017 and was responsible for supervising and evaluating teachers, managing a budget, providing information and customer service, and reporting to leadership and stakeholders about learning outcomes.

Divya Shannon has a comprehensive education history. Divya obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from The University of Texas at Austin from 2004 to 2008. Following that, they pursued a Master of Education degree in Secondary Education and Teaching at Texas State University from 2010 to 2011. Later, they completed a Master of Organizational Management degree in Organizational Leadership from Endicott College between 2014 and 2016.

In addition to their formal education, Divya Shannon has obtained several certifications. Divya became a certified Teacher for Math (9-12) and Biology (9-12) from the Massachusetts Department of Education in November 2011. In May 2016, they obtained the certification for Secondary School Principal, Supervisor, or Director from the same institution. Furthermore, they attained certification as a Teacher for Math (6-12) and Science (6-12) from the Texas Education Agency in May 2020. Divya'smost recent certification as Principal as Instructional Leader was obtained from the Texas Education Agency in December 2021.
