Richard Whittaker

Richard Whittaker is currently an Apprentice Paramedic at South West Ambulance Trust, participating in an apprenticeship program that includes a Bachelor’s of Science in Paramedic Medicine. In addition, Richard serves as the Service Design & Transition Lead at Specsavers since July 2022. Prior experience includes the role of Emergency Care Assistant with NHS, providing support in emergency medical situations from September 2020 to April 2024. Richard has an extensive background in telecommunications, having held positions such as Global Service Manager at Vodafone Global Enterprise and Senior Project Manager at Acision. Earlier roles also include Deliveries Manager at Mavenir, Critical Issues Analyst at Logica, Networks System Engineer at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, and an Industrial Placement Student at British Airways. Richard holds degrees from the University of Cumbria, University of the West of England, and Sheffield Hallam University.
