Michael Leung has had a long and varied career. Michael began in 2007 as a Laboratory Technician at Essilor Canada. In 2010, they worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Waterloo. The following year, they were a Research Scientist at Natural Resources Canada and a Research Assistant at Dalhousie University. In 2013, they were a Technical Consultant at Medella Health and in 2014, they were a Graduate Student and Teaching Assistant at Stanford University. In 2015, they were a Co-Founder at Lelantus Medical and in 2017, they were a Display Engineer Intern at Apple. Finally, in 2018, they were a Co-Founder at Spect Inc.
Michael Leung obtained their Bilingual (French/English) Ontario Secondary School Diploma from Ste Famille in 2009. Michael then attended the University of Waterloo, where they earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) in Nanotechnology Engineering, with an Economics Minor, in 2014. In 2012, they were an exchange student at DTU - Technical University of Denmark, studying Nanotechnology Engineering. Michael then went on to Stanford University, where they earned a Master of Science (MS) in Mechanical Engineering in 2016, and a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Electrical Engineering in 2018. Additionally, they obtained certifications in Artificial Intelligence for Robotics from Udacity in 2012 and Introduction to Artificial Intelligence from Udacity in 2011.
