Alasdair McKie

Alasdair McKie has a diverse work experience in the engineering field. Alasdair started their career as a Stress Engineer at Inter-Tec Services Ltd in 2002 and worked there until 2008. Following this, they joined Atkins as a Senior Aerospace Engineer in 2008 and later became a Project Manager in the Atkins Energy business, where they managed projects in the Nuclear and Oil & Gas sectors. In addition to their project management role, Alasdair also served as the Business Commercial Leader at Atkins, overseeing commercial compliance, training, and improvement across a team of 120 staff. Currently, Alasdair is working at Spirit AeroSystems since 2017, where they hold the position of Head Of Engineering and is responsible for leading the engineering department, including specifically the A350 program.

Alasdair McKie completed their Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Strathclyde from 1998 to 2003.
