Scott McLarty FRAeS MCIPD has extensive experience in the aerospace industry. Scott started their career at BAE Systems in 1999, where they held various roles including Operations Manager for Airbus and Boeing Operations, and later became the Business Improvement Director. In 2005, they joined BAE Systems as the Director of Business Planning & Support, where they were responsible for site operations support and planning activities. In 2006, McLarty moved to Spirit AeroSystems, initially serving as the Operations & HR Director, before being promoted to Vice President & GM UK & Malaysia. In 2018, they were appointed as the Senior Vice President Airbus & Business Jet Programs. In addition to their aerospace career, McLarty also served as the Vice Chairman of the Board for the Enterprise & Skills Strategic Board in Scotland, which aimed to align and coordinate the activities of various enterprise and skills agencies in the country.

Scott McLarty FRAeS MCIPD received a Fellowship in Manufacturing Management, specializing in Aerospace Business Management, from Cranfield School of Management in 1995-1996. Scott later pursued a degree in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration from Reed Business School, completing the MCIPD program from 2011 to 2013. Prior to these qualifications, they attended Kilmarnock Technical College from 1986 to 1990, but it is unclear if they earned a degree or field of study during that time.
