Sportable is looking for a skilled and ambitious designer who can: 

  1. deepen our understanding of users and problems,
  2. increasing the quality of our solutions and
  3. shorten our learning curve and time to impact. You will lead all UX/UI related activities at Sportable.

Our product portfolio is increasing and the need for a smoother product experience for new customers is growing. You will be the one who will lead the transition towards a more customer-centric approach, where we put more emphasis on problem understanding, solution concepts and rapid iterative learning and validation.  

You will be closely working with the product management team to understand needs from many different customers and assure we are heroes in communicating them to our engineering teams. You are eager to work on different aspects of our product portfolio, having multiple products, both hardware and software, for a variety of customers. Most importantly, you will be effective in solving problems with products having a strong user experience. 

Salary Range: 

£37,000 to £65,000 annual depending on relevant experience. 

Job requirements: 

  • BSc degree or higher in a relevant field

  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools (Figma, InVision, AdobeXD).

  • Very skilled in low and high fidelity designs and prototypes.

  • Very skilled in using a variety of UX analysis and experimentation techniques.

  • Skilled in UX/UI for both hardware and software products.

  • Skilled in running experiments to validate needs and solutions.

  • Skilled in visual design toolings such as Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.

  • Experience with working in a complex product and technology environment.

  • Experience with user analytics tooling.

  • Pre: Experience with developing sports technology.

  • Good team player, possess a positive attitude and work well with others.

  • Great organizational and analytical skills with keen attention to detail and quality.

  • Customer-oriented, and skilled in communicating with different (type of) customers.

  • Creative, explores new perspectives, ideas and insights.

  • Takes initiative, creates their own plans.

Responsibilities: 

  • Investigation and analysis of roadmap initiatives in order to get a complete and deep understanding of the needs and wishes of the involved stakeholders.
  • Coordinate product initiatives from problem to concept to implementation.
  • To build designs and prototypes and iteratively improve with stakeholders.
  • To provide detailed input for the engineering teams for implementation.
  • Propose new initiatives for improvement of the user experience (customer journey).
  • To implement and maintain a design system.
