Sergio Vaccari Ph.D., HCLD

IVF Laboratory Director at Spring Fertility

Sergio Vaccari Ph.D., HCLD has worked in the field of IVF laboratory since 1995. Sergio began their career as a researcher at the Italian Institute for Health (ISS). In 2005, they became a Post Doc Fellow at Stanford University, where they developed a project focused on the contribution of cAMP endogenously produced by mammalian oocyte to the meiotic arrest necessary to obtain a successful fertilized embryo. From 2007 to 2009, they worked at the UCSF Medical Center as a Clinical Staff Research Associate and PostDoctoral Fellow. During this time, they established and improved vitrification protocols for MII, PNs and blastocyts stage embryo, and analyzed telomeres length by FISH in first and second Polar Body after laser assisted biopsy. In 2009, they joined C.A.R.E. Fertility as an OFF-site IVF laboratory Director, IVF laboratory supervisor, and Embyologist, supervisor. In 2010, they were appointed as an IVF laboratory Supervisor at LIFE IVF Center. Finally, in 2016, they became the IVF Laboratory Director at Spring Fertility.

Sergio Vaccari Ph.D., HCLD obtained their PhD. at the Dept. of Medical Embryology and Sergio'stology from Sapienza Università di Roma between 2000 and 2004. Sergio then went on to attend Stanford University School of Medicine between 2005 and 2007, studying Developmental Biology and Embryology. Vaccari also holds certifications in HCLD (ABB) and ELD (ABB).
