Nicole Roger, MFT, has a diverse work experience in the field of mental health. Nicole started their career as a Research Assistant at The University of Arizona from January 2009 to May 2011. Later, they worked as a Marriage and Family Therapist, Intern at Bayside Park Assisted Living, providing therapy to older adults and their families. Nicole conducted individual, group, and milieu therapy, as well as facilitated a weekly Dialectical Behavior Therapy group.
In 2013, Nicole joined the USF Center for Child and Family Development as a Marriage and Family Therapist, Intern. Nicole incorporated school-based mental and academic counseling for students dealing with various issues, including depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, and abuse. Nicole also provided high-risk students and families with community resources and referrals.
From 2014 to 2015, Nicole worked as a Senior Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor at the California Department of Rehabilitation. Nicole assessed clients with disabilities for barriers to employment and developed personalized plans to help them find meaningful employment. Nicole provided ongoing counseling throughout the vocational rehabilitation process.
In 2015, Nicole also had a role at Ginger, where they served as a Listener. Nicole provided tele-health support and empathetic listening to users of the mobile app, facilitating safe and supportive conversations about mental health concerns. Nicole worked with users in emotional distress through active listening, goal setting, and follow-up.
From 2017 to 2021, Nicole served as the Lawyer Assistance Program- Clinical Rehabilitation Coordinator at the State Bar of California. Nicole'sresponsibilities included conducting assessments for mental health and substance use issues, developing treatment plans, providing ongoing case management, and maintaining communication with participants and treatment providers.
Currently, Nicole holds two positions at Spring Health. Since October 2021, they have been the Senior Manager of Clinical Partnerships, and since October 2022, they have taken on the role of Director of Clinical Partnerships.
Nicole Roger, MFT completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Arizona in 2011. Following this, they pursued their Master of Arts (M.A.) in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy from Saint Mary's College of California, which they successfully completed in 2014.
