Amanda Dean

Amanda Dean, MBA, PMP has over 12 years of professional experience in the technology and analytics industry. Amanda began their career in 2008 as a Teaching Assistant for Computer Science and Engineering 101 at Michigan State University, where they provided in-class support for one course with 15+ students for three semesters. In 2010, they joined Truven Health Analytics as a Data Management Associate/Consultant, then was promoted to Technical Lead, Data Management. In 2014, they moved to Towers Watson as a Business Analyst. In 2015, they joined Truven Health Analytics, an IBM Company, as an Analytic Consultant, then was promoted to Senior Analytic Consultant. In 2018, they joined IBM Watson Health as a Project Manager and was later promoted to Senior Project Manager. In 2021, they joined General Motors as a Project Manager, Customer Care, Aftersales & Warranty IT. Most recently, in 2022, they joined Springbuk as an Analytic Product Manager, where they collaborate across teams in the research, design and roll out of enhancements to the Springbuk platform featuring an analytic component. Amanda is responsible for writing use cases, documenting criteria and requirements, and planning for future iterations. Amanda also creates new documentation, including process manuals and data dictionaries, to be distributed internally and externally within Springbuk, and monitors and responds to questions and reported bugs through Slack groups and Jira.

Amanda Dean has an educational history that includes a BA in History from Michigan State University, obtained between 2006 and 2009. Amanda also obtained an Executive Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Michigan State University, between 2016 and 2018. Additionally, they hold certifications from Scrum.org, Project Management Institute, and Scaled Agile, Inc. These include a Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I) obtained in November 2021, a Project Management Professional (PMP) obtained in July 2019, and a Certified SAFe 5 Product Owner/Product Manager obtained in June 2022.
